Did you know that it has been over 10 years since our needs have been addressed?
PLEASE Call your local legislators and tell them our issues.
If you want to address the top two issues simply call and read from the text below:
- OPWDD
- Enact the 11% Human Services COLA for all OPWDD programs and services!!
- It has been over 10 years since the OPWDD programs and services received a COLA.
- As a result, the infrastructure for our programs is severely damaged and our caring services are suffering, largely due to staffing shortages.
- We do not want to turn the clocks back to the days of Willowbrook.
- The individuals with developmental disabilities and the staff who provide services are so very appreciative of your support.
- STATE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT
- Make it Possible for Schools to Keep the Proposed 11% Increase!
- This would only be possible if:
- Rate reconciliation is discontinued,
- Cost screens are adjusted and Interim Plus rates are implemented,
- A new tuition rate methodology is developed with stakeholder input.
Students and the staff who provide the services appreciate your support!
WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT OUR PAST ADVOCACY HAD AN IMPACT ON OUR LEGISLATORS – Let’s Not miss a beat at the finishing line!
