CP Nassau held a new event, a Murder Mystery dinner titled, “The Best Laid Plans,” at the Westbury Manor on Saturday, November 2nd.   This unique event was enjoyed by the guests who feasted at an elaborate cocktail hour and then enjoyed a delicious dinner while being entertained by the fun actors who brought the murder mystery to life.  The beautiful Westbury Manor was the perfect setting for this old-time “whodunnit” show.

Peter Purpura and his colleagues at Jovia Financial Credit Union were honored at the event for all their generous support shared for years with CP Nassau.  CP Nassau Executive Director, Karen Geller-HIttleman, and Event Chairman, Joel Meltzer, welcomed all and expressed gratitude and appreciation on behalf of all at the Agency for everything Peter and the team at Jovia to do help the children and adults we serve.  Peter was recruited by the Mystery acting ensemble to play a role in the show.  Peter was great – though it is probably best to stick with his day job!  And that is because he plays an integral role at Jovia, making banking on the bright side so amazing!

The Century Ticket raffle made one person richer to the tune of $7,500 and another won $2,500.  There were great raffle prizes and lots of happy winners with baskets of goodies to take home.

We thank Chairperson, Joel Meltzer, and the Committee for their hard work and Mary Brosky from CP Nassau, who coordinated this fun evening enjoyed by all!  CP Nassau is grateful to all guests, journal supporters, sponsors and donors who made this event a success.
