The teen volunteers from AYLUS (Alliance of Youth Leaders in the US) Roslyn Chapter continue to help out at CP Nassau in so many ways! Each weekend, they continue to visit our residences and do fun craft and baking projects. On Nov. 2, they helped at the CP Nassau 5K Walk, Run, Roll Stroll cheering participants on as they travelled the 5K course!
On Sunday, November 24th the group performed in a music recital for the residents and staff of CP Bayville! The students shared their talents playing the cello, oboe, violin and singing!
Members of the group attended the CP Nassau Board of Directors November meeting and spoke to the attendees about the volunteer experiences with our program participants and at our fundraising events! This gave them some practice in public speaking and provided the opportunity for members of the Board to hear first-hand how much these students are enjoying their time with the residents in our various homes.
We are so grateful to these amazing young people who are giving of themselves and truly making a difference here at CP Nassau and in the world!
