A Color-Filled Day to Welcome Spring
The CP Nassau Community Habilitation group had a fun Spring/Easter activity. The group learned about the preparation of dying eggs; which entailed boiling eggs and setting the colors using the color tablets, vinegar and warm water. The participants showed their creativity by making color combinations to design their eggs. Many individuals had someone special in mind when designing their eggs including family, comhab worker, and friends.
This activity led to everyone sharing old memories of when they dyed eggs growing up and what they loved most about it.
“I love dying eggs for Easter. They are so pretty” – Diane J.
“I remember dying eggs and eating them after” – Jasmine H.
“I like having an Easter party at my residence” – Carolyn R.
“I’m going to make one for my comhab worker” – Jasmin D.
