Forget Me Not Ball

The 71st annual Forget Me Not Ball to benefit CP Nassau was held on Friday, Nov 10 at the lovely Westbury Manor.
The honorees were:

Dr. Jack & Kelly McElwain Humanitarian Award
Joel Meltzer – Meltzer Accounting
Harold Jay Greenberg Torch of Leadership
Robert McGuire – CP Nassau
Lifetime Achievement Award
Over 200 guests enjoyed a wonderful cocktail hour and then an elegant dinner followed by dancing. Executive Director, Karen Geller-Hittleman welcomed all. Charlie Fleisch, a program participant helped demonstrate the MOVE equipment he uses to be able leave his wheelchair and to stand and walk. Charlie also helped introduce Jay Horwitz along with Board member Ed Probst as his Humanitarian award was presented. Executive Director Emeritus, Bob McGuire introduced Joel Meltzer and presented his Leadership award and then Karen Geller-Hittleman presented Bob McGuire with his Lifetime Achievement award.

There were terrific raffles prizes, a fun photo booth and two lucky people won cash prizes of $7,500 and $2,500. A souvenir journal was produced as a great remembrance of this night of fun and friends helping raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.

National STEM/STEAM Day Recognized At The Children’s Learning Center
National STEM/STEAM Day is celebrated every year on November 8 to encourage kids to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, arts and math careers.
