Sugar Plum Ball and Galactic Gala Held at the Fox Hollow Inn to Benefit CP Nassau

On Sunday, December 10th, the Fox Hollow in Woodbury was the scene of dozens of young ladies in party dresses perfect for the holiday season, and lots of boys ready to greet a parade of characters from a galaxy far, far, away!  At the second annual Sugar Plum Ball and Galactic Gala the fun started at noon and went non-stop till 4 pm!

The kids there, along with their dads, moms or other family members were all smiles as they danced the afternoon away with the Sugar Plum Fairies, got to chat with Barbie and Jessie from Toy Story, met and mingled with a host of Star Wars characters, enjoyed a magic show, experienced Jedi training, enjoyed face-painting, maybe had a caricature done by the Creativity Zone and then a sing-along with Anna and Kristoff from Frozen!

The sit-down lunch was delicious and gave all a chance to take a break from all the activity for a while. Guests old and young made their own ice-cream sundae shortly after and then got on the cotton candy line for some freshly spun sugar!  There were some very happy winners of a great selection of raffle prizes and each young guest went home with an adorable Squishmallow to call their very own!

Special thanks to the amazing DJ Mike from All-Star Party and his terrific crew and to our sponsors, Jovia Financial Credit Union and Mr. Martin Kelly. We thank the 501st Legion’s Empire City Garrison, the Saber Guild’s Endor &Empire Temples, the Droid Builders Club and Princess Prep for their incredible support and sharing of time and talent. We also are so very grateful to Victor Scotto Jr., Victoria Scotto and the hard-working staff at the Fox Hollow!

We thank our volunteers: Diane, Charlotte, and Madeline Feehan, Terell Davis, Sophia Probst, Delaney Bartling, Antoinette Mintz, Teagan Urich and Ella McAleer.  Funds raised will go towards the MOVE Program (Mobility Opportunities Via Education at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County.)
