Water Infusion Day at CP Nassau

The CP Nassau Wellness Committee hosted a Water Infusion day on June 24 in celebration of National Hydration day which was the day before!  The committee has worked hard to educate staff, students and participants about the importance of drinking water and all the health benefits being hydrated brings!  It was a terrific day enjoyed by all!  Pretty dispensers filled with infused water in delicious varieties including  Watermelon Mint, Cucumber Lemon Ginger and Citrus were taste-tested and got a thumbs up from many!  There were volunteers from the 501 Legion’s Empire City Garrison in Star Wars costumes and Hap E. Waterdrop stopped by too.  Participants in the Adult Day Services program worked on creative displays about the importance of drinking water that were a hit!  Inside, classroom doors in the Adult Day Services program were beautifully decorated with lots of great information about hydration and were part of a contest to win a pizza party!  There was a free raffle table open to all and free giveaways that put a smile on faces of the day’s attendees.  All in all, a day of fun being together outside in the Agency’s terrific recreation area, seeing friends many of us had not seen in a while and getting hydrated with yummy, healthy water.  Couldn’t spend a nice June day in a better way!
