Danielle McCartan, a WFAN sports radio host, joined the Life Options zoom class to talk all things sports. The participants had a great discussion with her about what it’s like being a woman in a male dominated field, how the pandemic has affected major league sports and of course our beloved Mets and Yankees.
Charlie Fleisch, a Life Options program participant who at one time taught a baseball history class in the program, is a huge Mets fan and reached out to Danielle and invited her to be part of a Zoom session. All were thrilled she said yes and enjoyed a lively session. Danielle has agreed to come back and join a session in August and the whole group can’t wait. When not on the radio, Danielle is a high school Italian teacher and coaches the softball team at her high school. She plays some sports herself and is a proud graduate of Ramapo College in New Jersey.
We are all grateful to Danielle for taking time out of her busy schedule to make a difference in the lives of our participants!
