Please Contact Representative Kathleen Rice and Urge Her to Vote!
ACTION ALERT!
The U.S. House of Representatives passed a procedural vote, on November 5th, allowing the Build Back Better Act (which includes the critical $150 billion for the HCBS program) to move forward, and House Democrats have tentatively reached an agreement to vote on the bill this week. However, several Representatives, including Kathleen Rice (D-Nassau) have expressed concerns about voting for the bill, including hesitation over the legislation’s overall price tag.
Therefore, New Yorkers with disabilities need you to contact Rep. Rice to give an extra push to ensure the Build Back Better Act gets over the finish line in the House.
Please contact Rep. Kathleen Rice and remind her of the importance of the HCBS funding in BBB and urging her to vote as soon as possible!
