CP Nassau Presents the Long Island Imagine Awards Hall of Fame Award

,The 9th Annual Long Island Imagine Awards was held as a hybrid live/virtual event on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in lieu of postponing the annual gala that attracts over 500 attendees. After the success of the 2020 event that was held on a hybrid basis due to Covid-19, the volunteer planning committee agreed to hold a similar event this year and get the prize money in the hands of the winning nonprofits as soon as possible. The event featured a “Cocktail Event” at the start and conclusion of the night, where sponsors and attendees were able to network individually and in groups. In order to keep participants engaged, the event integrated the pre-recorded sponsor and finalist videos with the LIVE announcements of the winners, it offered the ability for participants to select a $1,000 grant winner, and provided participants with an opportunity to chat, comment, and text donations to the 20 finalists.

About the Imagine Awards

The Long Island Imagine Awards was created by Chair Ken Cerini, Managing Partner of the accounting firm Cerini & Associates, LLP. “The nonprofit sector is vital to the very fabric of Long Island; with many nonprofits pivoting during the pandemic to continue find creative ways to provide essential services to so many Long Islanders in need. I’m excited that the Imagine Awards was also able to pivot to a hybrid event, so we were able to effectively recognize and showcase the impactful and innovative work that nonprofits are doing every day. In fact, the virtual format actually enhanced the Imagine Awards’ ability to showcase the region’s top nonprofits to a global audience.” said Cerini.

This gala event was created to offer formal acknowledgment to some of Long Island’s most effective and innovative nonprofit organizations. Over 160 nonprofit applications were submitted to win $5,000 grants in each of five categories: Innovation, Leadership Excellence, Rising Star, Social Impact and Arts and Culture, and an additional $3,000 Fan Favorite award and $1,000 participant choice award. Of this pool of worthy applicants, 20 were selected as finalists and one in each category was announced as the winner.

This is the second year we were pleased to present the Long Island imagine Awards Hall of Fame Award, sponsored by the Nonprofit Resource Hub, which was established to honor those organizations that consistently excel in the areas of leadership, impact and operations. These organizations continuously operate at the highest level and have been recognized by the Imagine Awards as a consistent winner or finalist. The 2021 Hall of Fame Award recipient was CP Nassau.
